4 Months

Monday, April 27, 2015

So, I blinked, and just like that my sweet baby is 4 months old! I don't even know how that happened. Actually, I am fairly certain that if you asked me what month it is, I would confidently answer, "January." That, my friends, is denial at its finest!

It is crazy that this time last year, he was the size of a kidney bean...just cookin' away in my tummy.

Now, he is a whopping 17 pounds 4 ounces and over 27 inches long! Sometimes, I miss his teeny, tiny baby stage. Dare I say that I sometimes even miss our middle of night milk and snuggle sessions. Yeah, I know I am crazy.

The beautiful thing is , as every new stage comes, I love it just as much as the last! Four months is a lot of fun. We are learning new things, like how to grab on to all sorts of stuff (including momma's hair), making some of his noisy toys be...well, noisy, almost rolling over, and telling all sorts of stories! He still hasn't mastered the art of keeping his poop inside of his diaper, but we are working on it! ;)

For now, I am just soaking up all the snuggles I can get, propping my eyes open with toothpicks, so I don't miss a second of his little life, and being super thankful that God picked this little fella out just for us! It is such a privilege to be his momma!

15 Weeks of Rowan

Thursday, April 16, 2015

My sweet baby is somehow 15 weeks old! It is insane how quickly time goes by. One second I was headed into the hospital to welcome this little bundle into the world, and the next I am pulling out his nine month clothes! You read that right, he is a weed! Here's the proof!

See, I told you he was a weed!

Weekend Recap

Monday, April 13, 2015

What a busy weekend! We started the weekend off with a dinner date with my cousin and her family, and then we went home to rest and rest some more! After a long week, the best thing to do on a Friday night is take a nap!

Saturday, Rowan and I had some company! My good friend, Lacy, and her daughter, Harper, came over for sewing and baby fun! Could my son be more of a flirt? I don't think so! Harps batted her long eyelashes at him, and he couldn't help but smile.

Sunday is always our busiest day of the week. After, church we walked through the newest event in our little home town. The Pickers Market is going to be taking place every month for the duration of the summer. Live music, good food, and lots of treasures make this the place to be!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

Smiley Baby Phone Case + a GIVEAWAY

Thursday, April 09, 2015

Happy (almost) Friday!

Now that I have a kiddo, I take a lot more pictures…which is pretty impressive, since taking pictures is my job! I have about a bajillion pictures of Rowan’s cute, little face. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I am not exaggerating.

Anyway, I have been trying to find fun ways to display some of the pictures I have taken, so they aren’t just in the photo album on my phone or on my computer. I recently upgraded to an iPhone 6 (which I love!!!), and that meant it was time to get a new phone case. It didn’t take me long to decide that I wanted to get a customized phone case. Polka dots, stripes, sparkles, OR Row’s sweet smile...that’s a no brainer for this momma! No other phone case compared!

I had purchased a customized phone case from Shutterfly for my sister-in-law, and I really liked the selection and quality! Plus, it is super simple to design a case that is super, stinkin' awesome! I picked out one of my favorite pictures of my little sugar booger and customized my very own and very favorite phone case! The hardest part was picking out my favorite design. I may have designed about five different cases and held a family vote, before settling on one! The others are still saved to my account, so they may still find their way to my house in a bright orange box. ;)

Here are a few of my favorite cases that Shutterfly has in there selection.

These are just a few of the cases that I love! There are seriously SO many to choose from! I ended up picking the Hello Sunshine Case.

Now, it is time for the super, exciting part...Shutterfly has generously offered to give one of you a free iPhone 6 case! To enter, just leave a comment telling me what your favorite Shutterfly case is...it is as easy as that! I will randomly select a winner on Friday, April 17. Good luck!

This giveaway was sponsored by Shutterfly. However, all opinions are 100% my own. The giveaway is for an iPhone 6 case! One entry per person.

Baby Easter Basket

Thursday, April 02, 2015

Happy Easter Week!

I am SOOO excited about Easter! This is Rowan's first holiday (besides Valentine's Day), and picking out goodies for his little Easter basket was so much fun! At first, I felt a little stumped...what do you put in a baby's Easter basket?! Sure, he probably doesn't need anything, but I really couldn't help myself. I decided to fill his basket with practical-ish items...or at least things that last longer than Reese's Eggs! Besides, I am sure the bunny will bring plenty of chocolate! :)

I found his basket at Target. I looked at some actual Easter baskets, but I didn't really like the size or color of most of them. Instead, I decided to get one that we could use all year. Besides, we don't have enough storage space to keep a basket that is only used once a year!

Naptime with Theo & Beau and Fletcher and the Springtime Blossoms have been on my must buy list for a while. I have been a little obsessed with children's books! These two are so cute, I can't wait to read them to him! They are probably meant for kids that are a little older, but I think he will enjoy them for a long time. He doesn't really care what his books are about, as long as I make some silly faces when I read to him! That always gets me some smiles.

The ducky rattle that I picked up is not so practical, but SO cute...and perfect for Easter! They even have a matching outfit! I guess I have a little bit of willpower, because that didn't end up in my shopping cart. Can you even imagine the cuteness of a little one toddling around in that?!

My cool dude loves his sunglasses. I got a couple pair a few weeks ago, and decided to save one pair for the Easter basket. They are affordable and tiny...perfect for an Easter basket!

The little onesie was a bit of a splurge, but I couldn't pass it up! Is their anything that is more appropriate for Easter?! I don't think so! I even washed it, so he could wear it on Sunday!

Now, it is your turn to spill the jellybeans...what do you put in your littles' baskets?
