Fall in love with essential oils

Friday, October 25, 2019

It is no secret that we love our essential oils. We started using oils about 4.5 years ago, when Rowan was a wee babe and I needed more sleep. We quickly fell in love with them! With fall in full swing, we find ourselves using oils even more than usual...which is already a lot. I thought it would be fun to share a few of the reasons we have "fall"en in love with oils.

Staying Well: Our boys go to preschool and daycare...hello germs! Luckily, we have essential oils to help support our bodies and keep them healthy. Every morning we roll on a combo of oils on the bottom of our feet...yes, we all do it!

5 drops Thieves
5 drops Oregano
5 drops Frankincense

Add all of the oils to a 10 ml roller bottle and top with your favorite carrier.

Soothing Hands: My hands seem to start getting super dry this time of year. I mixed up a hand scrub last year, and it has been a favorite in our household. You can find my recipe for that over here! It only takes a few minutes to whip up, and it leaves your hands so soft and smelling soooo good!

Diffusing: I love diffusing during the fall. It is so fun to mix different oils and find the best combo for your mood! Plus, the benefits that you get from diffusing are no joke! Sleep support, immune support, focus, and emotions! It is amazing, and candles just can't compare.

Fall Stroll: Rosemary + Bergamot + Stress Away
Oatmeal Cookies: Stress Away + Orange + Cedarwood
Cozy Flannel: Cardamom + Cinnamon Bark + Clove + Orange
Pumpkin Pie: Cinnamon Bark + Clove + Nutmeg
Crunchy Leaves: Clove + Orange + Cedarwood
Autumn Wreath: Patchouli + Bergamot + Clove + Pine

Entertaining: Fall seems to be the time when there is an abundance of gatherings. I am all for getting together with friends for some good food. Young Living has a line of vitality oils that can liven up your favorite dishes for all your fall shindigs. Who doesn't love a festive cheese tray?

- R O S E M A R Y   C H E E S E   B A L L -

2 blocks of cream cheese softened
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup craisins
1/2 cup bacon bits
2-4 drops of Rosemary Vitality (depending on how strong you like it.)

Toss it all in your mixer to combine. Form it into a ball and chill overnight in the fridge.
Best enjoyed with crackers.

We have made this several times, and it is always a hit!

Cleaning: We use oils to clean all year round, but it is extra festive in the fall, because I love to add some Christmas Spirit to my Thieves Cleaner. I put about 10 drops in a 16 oz. bottle. You can even put some drops on the filter of your vacuum cleaner! It smells so good!

So, now that I have overloaded you with information, let me tell you how you can get started! ;)
