HOORAY SUMMER

Friday, June 11, 2021

We have had a pretty chill school schedule for the last couple weeks. Most days our lessons have included learning how to build the perfect sand castle. We are loving all the outdoor fun and plan on continuing that through the summer. However, one of the beauties of homeschool is we can keep on going all summer long. Our plan is to do weekly lessons and lots and lots of reading...so while it is not really the last day of school, we are celebrating a lesser load of school work. And it wouldn't be the end of the school year without a little questionnaire from my favorite almost FIRST GRADER!

How old are you: six
What is your favorite food: mac and cheese
What is your favorite animal: a red panda
What do you like to do for fun: play with my friends and family
What is your favorite color: green
What is your favorite movie: Cheaper by the Dozen
What is something that you like to learn about: math
What do you want to be when you grow up: an architect for a zoo
What do you love most: my family

Homeschool was such a learning experience for us all, and it was so, so, so good! I know why teachers love their job! Seeing lessons click in Rowan's mind and watching his excitement grow as he figured stuff out was amazing.

And Crew wanted to be part of the picture taking fun, so here are some pictures of this boy.

When I asked him what he learned this year he said, "I wearned awesome ninja skills!"
