Smoothies!

Sunday, February 16, 2014

If you follow me on Instagram, you have probably noticed that I have been making TONS of smoothies. I just love how refreshing they are, and they are so easy to make! I have an Oster 20oz personal blender that is perfect for making smoothies! I usually try to use different ingredients everyday! I just add some frozen fruit a vegetable (usually spinach or avocado) and a little bit of natural fruit juice!

This one has mango, spinach, and orange juice...it is one of my favorites!

I am also in love with The Mason Bar Company! I recently purchased a mason jar tumbler, and I love it! It is perfect for my smoothies!

Valentines Day

Happy Valentine's Day

Friday, February 14, 2014

Are you guys tired of Valentine's Day posts yet?

Today we had a little carry-in at work, and I decided to whip up a quick and easy heart-themed treat for the holiday! I got this recipe from Jessica at Little Baby Garvin, and I have made it several times! It is just popcorn, almond bark and anything else you can dream up! I have added pretzels, m&m's, candy corn, chex...the options are endless! Just stir melted almond bark into the popcorn (and pretzels or chex if you are using them), and spread it out on some wax paper. While it was still wet, I sprinkled heart-shaped sprinkles over the mix, and then I just let it dry. Once dry, I broke it up and was ready to serve! This little snack is always a hit!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you guys all have a wonderful day, and if your area is getting snow, please be careful! Love you all!

Valentine's Day DIY

Thursday, February 06, 2014

Valentines day is around the corner, and I am so excited! I have already put together of some of my Valentine's Day favorites, but I also wanted to do some DIY! This is the only time of year that I can decorate the whole house with pink and get away with it. (I don't acutally decorate the whole house...but I could!) Last year I did this quick little project, but this year I wanted to do something a little more crafty!

I loved the way that Hattie's baby blanket turned out, and I knew I wanted to use the same technique on something (much smaller) for a Valentine's Day project. I decided to make a pillow. I have made pillows in the past, and I thought that it would be a pretty simple project.

It is the perfect pop of Valentine's Day! (Now I just have to convince Dane that it should stay out all year! Just kidding...well, sort of!)

The snow is coming down...again! I don't know about all of you, but I am ready for spring! I would probably just skip right to April if it weren't for Valentine's Day, and a number of fun birthdays we have to celebrate in March!

I am in love with pink and gold for Valentine's Day! Can you tell?!

Dane and I don't usually do a lot for the holiday, but I still love it! This year, I am participating in a mystery dinner show that our church is putting on. Dane will be in the audience with some of our family. It is not exactly the dinner date we usually have, but I am pretty excited!
